My photos, either by chance or by design, tend to record life in a sort of nostalgic, documentary style. I find photography a wonderful way of reliving the meaningful ephemera in my life, almost like a sort of human eye screenshot tool. All of our memories are embellished, cropped, and edited anyway.

I'm also quite fond of the wonderful potential of photography to create abstract textures and psychedelic designs. These allow me to take fuller advantage of Lightroom's potential because abstract shots tend to be transformed rather than clipped or lost at extreme ends of the sliders. Plus, I believe that feelings and ideas should be expressed through a combination of concrete causes, metaphors, and more subjective abstractions.

I really only give my shots terrible, pretentious names for the sake of not having them all called IMG_something.

Though I am primarily a hobbyist right now, I aim to make my art a part of my career. I would love to earn at least a portion of my income from event shooting, photojournalistic projects, or music-related studio projects.
