Passionate about showcasing the beauty of our planet, as well as man's relationship with it, I strive to find new and interesting landscapes wherever I travel as well as capturing a unique perspective of well-known subjects.

A latecomer to Flickr, I have chosen to create this profile to showcase a selection of my landscape, nature and travel photography.

Based in Springfield Lakes, near the Queensland capital of Brisbane, I'm an Aussie who grew up in the bush in Central West NSW several hundred kilometres inland, where temperatures above 40C are not uncommon in the summer, turned into a cricket tragic during my teenage years in the much more lush, hilly and cooler Southern Highlands region south of Sydney and lived in the United Kingdom for five years as a young adult. My accent still hasn't recovered.

A former newspaper journalist, my love of photography developed across more than a decade before I reached a point where I finally chose to follow my heart, share my art with the world and turn my passion into my livelihood. Initially inspired by a trio of fellow Aussies in my journey of discovery - renown landscape and nature photographers Ken Duncan, Steve Parish and Peter Lik - I am almost entirely self taught and have a particular fondness for long exposure photography. While not all my landscape photography fits within this category, I do love to illustrate the movement of water or clouds in many of my images, showing nature interacting with itself over a segment of time, rather than simply showing a scene that is a quick snapshot in time.

In addition to personal projects and releasing limited-edition and open-edition prints on my online marketplace (along with publishing calendars, postcards and other products featuring my images) I am available for advertising, commercial and editorial photography assignments. Mostly such work - whether in southeast Queensland or involving travel - centres on hotel and resort marketing images, tourism campaigns, hospitality shoots, travel and destination photography, and architecture and interiors showcases.

I've been lucky enough to collect quite a few photography awards, have been published internationally and am an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.
