I have taken photos since I could hold a camera, but really only started to take it seriously from 2007 when I travelled to China for two weeks with a bunch of keen amateur photographers. My first DSLR was a Canon 300D but gradually worked my way up through 40D, 7D, 5D Mk2 and 5D Mk3. I liked those cameras and still have many memorable images from them. About two years ago, after consulting with two friends, both professional photographers, I sold all my Canon equipment and bought a Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 with a 12-35 mm lens. Since then, I have acquired 6 more lenses. I am really happy with this camera which I have found delivers far better and more consistent results. (Sorry Canon).
