I got my first DSLR in 2012, and that first photo has grown into a full-bore obsession. I love taking bird photos - all from the wild - and insect / flower photos with a macro lens. I need lots of help and a LOT of work on my Landscapes and Portraits, but I'll get there eventually.

Also - quick explanation about the "biguglystuff" moniker: when I got our first computer for home - Sept 2001 - I was setting up my email and user names. I am a fanatic fly fisherman and I wanted a trout / fly fishing name. Every one I tried was taken and I didn't want to use a "fly guy 399582" name. I glanced over at a stack of bulk fly boxes next to the computer. One of them was labeled "Early Season Montana flies - Yuk Bugs, Bitch Ck nymphs, Girdle bugs - big ugly stuff"

voila - I became Biguglystuff!
