I was born and raised on ARUBA! My Father is Dutch (Surinam) and my Mom is from Venezuela, so I was raised speaking Dutch and Spanish. In Aruba we have Papiamento, so I speak this too. I am married to Dennis, who comes from Trinidad & Tobago! So I speak English also as he does not speak too much of another language.

Our 3 children, Samantha now 28 Roger now 27 and Derek now 25 speak everything! Switching from Dutch Papiamento Spanish and English, this is how we communicate! Ha, we are Multi Cultural!

Residing in Europe from 1997 till 2003 I developed more love for the Arts and learned everyday. MOSAIC Art became my passion when I was in Prague. I have never ever seen a church as beautiful as theirs! Then we moved to Mallorca - I was in the Cathedral every week-end to be in the house of God. You can feel and smell the Art History here.

Then in 2004 we returned to my native island....and here we are..........

I met Omaira on line in the summer of 2008 when I started dabbling in mosaic art. Right away I felt the joy and enthusiasm of this lady as she encouraged me to show my work and continue on, always pointing out details that made my work my own and unique to me, and building my confidence to continue. As I have watched Omaira through these quickly passing months, I have realized that she is a wonderful teacher, a warm and caring person, and such a very hard and enthusiastic worker! I have watched her organize many artful events at her studio in Aruba, and lately, doing amazing and huge mosaic installations at the new theme park on the island! Omaira is truly an inspiration and I feel very fortunate to "know" her! Through all of her projects and busy life, she takes her time to help others and lift them up to a higher level of self confidence and to discover the joy in their artwork and unique creativity. As wonderful and talented as Omaira is, she shares and truly "makes a difference" in the lives of many people who are trying to find their way into their creative souls. Thank you so much Omaira!
