I taught photography at West Chester East High School for 27 years. I retired in 2014. I am self taught and learned photography by taking photos with a Pentax K-1000 and developing and printing my images in a darkroom. Film is unpredictable and I enjoy having a limited number of frames so it forces me look carefully and compose my shot.
I am an avid fly fisherman as well. I spend as much time as I can outdoors. My family, friends and my faith are the most important things in my life.
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
