2020 UPDATE: I've shifted to instagram and have been using flickr primarily as a cloud backup. Consuming and posting images on facebook, flickr, and instagram was just taking up way too much screen time. Two of them had to go. Flickr is still the superior viewing platform (especially on desktop) and facebook is great for sharing with friends and family, but instagram (although it has its compromises) has a bit of both platforms and also makes it much easier to connect to not only just friends and photographers but creatives in other fields. If you want to see what I've been up to, you can find me @b.nishimoto.
An amateur photo enthusiast with a fly rod and paintbrush.
This is the first time sharing my photos in such a public forum (other then on Facebook with family and friends). With all the amazing work out there it was quite intimidating to hit the upload button for the first time. But as I settled in, joining groups, checking out people's photostreams, even creating a few galleries, I found that seeing all these fine works made me more critical of my own work and as a result hopefully a better photographer.
I don't have a photographer's natural outgoing disposition so most of my stuff is from around home and family vacations. Whenever I need a mental break from my art or writing I often find myself going into the backyard or looking around the house to see if I can find anything interesting. What was suppose to be a 15 minute break often turns into a much longer endeavor.
Thanks for checking out my photostream!
*I'm currently going through all my photos since 05' and uploading the ones that make the cut.
