I started photography when I was about 5. When I got my first SLR I mainly shot with the 50/2 that came with it but experimented with many other lenses on loan. I really enjoyed B&W - not just because it was less expensive - but because it reduced things to contrast and light. I shot mainly slides other than B&W. When digital came into vogue at first I used small compact tiny sensor cameras like everyone. Eventually I grabbed an apsc body and a couple of kit zooms. These went to Paris on a trip and came back unscathed. I've owned many brands and many types - I don't jump quickly from fad to fad but I have had the pleasure of trying many different approaches. I have sold some things but I am not a working professional photographer.

My interests in photography include people - mostly candid shots - and landscapes. I also do some abstract shots. Recently I got an 800nm Infrared camera and before that a dedicated monochrome camera. I seem to be returning to my B&W roots.
