Quick update:

I am now 51, still married (!) with two daughters. Although I dressed as a teenager this was quickly stopped by my mother! However, when I was 43 (the age was when my mother died) it seemed okay to start dressing again and it just seemed to 'make sense'. So in reality I have been dressing 'properly' for a few years - in that time my confidence has grown tremendously and I have been many times in public for meals, shopping and also travelling, and it feels wonderfully natural :) I am very open at work about my femme side, where more often than not I get to my office and change (all Rebecca's stuff is there!). My daughters are more accepting than my wife - one of my daughters actually came to work with me recently and was happy for me to be Rebecca all day :).

A new update

Now 53! Still married although this is becoming harder for both of us. Two daughters are now away studying at uni so that has left a big hole in my life. But wanting to be Rebecca more and more.

Things have just got too hard for the both of us - we agree we love each other but want different things so we are separating. Being me full time is getting closer but at the moment life is tough.

Still not moved out - a case of second thoughts, fear of the unknown and lockdown - still pondering what to do.

I did actually manage to move out but then felt like the world came crashing down around me - so back home and living a compromise as best I can. I need Rebecca in my life but also need my family - so life feels like a very delicate balancing act.
