As a biologist I work in the Swiss federal office of the environment in Berne, where I am engaged in nature protection politics of Switzerland, especially concerning forest biodiversity.

My main focus and interest in photography are landscapes, forests and other ecosystems, plants and flowers, agriculture, animals and nature in general. But sometimes I also like to photograph people.

I do not travel a lot, so my geographical area includes mainly Switzerland, Germany, Norway and the island of Crete.

What I always look for are photogenic scenes in magic light, what doesn't occur very often. But when it happens, one has to be ready.

My images are used in brochures, books, flyers, posters and homepages, most of them dealing with environmental issues, especially nature protection.
