My father was a photographer, I'd sneak into his darkroom and wonder at it all. We kids got cameras to play with but ours never had all the cool knobs and buttons my father's did. I do remember his photos. Mostly snapshots and I figured he was just having fun as well.

But I was always intrigued with the cameras, even with my Kodak Instamatic 126 film camera. I remember getting back 26 pictures of whatever I thought was cool and every one I loved! There were no "keepers" by my standards today but I considered every one a masterpiece.

Now I'm enjoying Digital and film photography. I understand the camera and all its knobs and buttons. I no longer guess at what are my settings and it's my favorite hobby. My wife and daughter are shutter bugs as well, and when we go out and play, we do it together.
