My photography:

My pictures are recently mostly in camera RAW developed to JPEG in CANON EOS 5D Mark III and CANON EOS 6D Mark II to optimize the shoot results. Shots from CANON EOS 450D and CANON EOS 800D are just out of the camera. I tried CANON software Digital Photo Professional, but I don´t like to spend much time on computer. I think I prefer to shoot more than to compute. Since the future will bring more fake and more AI into the cameras and photography, I think analog creative film photography will find far more friends again. I also use it from time to time. It is still fascinating to hold a film based paper print in my hands.

My gear:

I use CANON since 1979, my father gave me a CANON A-1 film camera. My first digital was the CANON Powershot A80, but still using the film CANON A-1 in the 1990s til today. 2009 I got the CANON 450D APS-C, which is still a great tool. In 2013 with the CANON 5D Mark III I switched to full frame and its advantages.

What I like in CANON is the toughness, the reliability, the fantastic CANON PROFESSIONAL SERVICE, the long life quality, the great DSLRs and did not switch to mirrorless yet. For my purposes my CANON DSLRs are still king and my CANON gear still works fine and will work for many years or decades to come.

But keeping, loving and using my DSLR gear, I bought CANON RF28 f/2.8 and CANON RF45 f/1.2 lenses. The lenses rest and wait for my first mirrorless CANON, to use them complementing my DSLRs with mirrorless advantages! Don't know now, which mirrorless CANON will come (August 15, 2026).
