I've been an aviation enthusiast since I was one year old (I was reliably informed by my parents). I regret not taking as many photos (and better ones) as I should have back in the younger days as so many of those aircraft that I took for granted have long gone - but then I did only have 24 or 36 exposures and I guess I wasn't paying for the processing!

My home airport was Newcastle (United Kingdom) and I travelled around various UK airports, airfields and Air Shows with my dad to begin with, and then other enthusiasts once I was older.

My home airfield is now RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire and airport is Leeds-Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom although life prevents me from getting out and about to photograph aircraft as much as I'd like.

I started this photostream purely for my aviation images so that my other stream didn't become dominated by aviation - whereas this one totally can! I also have different followers on there - although many aviation related followers are on here too.

I've just started scanning some older prints to see how they turn out. My kit back in the day was a Practica MTL5B SLR (though before that it was a Zenit-B) - still got 'em somewhere. I now use a Canon 1100D with 18-55, 70-300 and 150-500mm lenses. Hoping to move on to a Canon 80D this year.
