Photography enriches my life. It sharpens my perception and gives me the opportunity to capture particular moments or situations and to extract things out of what surrounds me that touch and fascinate me .First and foremost, I see myself as a nature or landscape photographer, but there are also many other topics I'm interested in.

More important than the final photo, however, is the process of conscious awareness, the time that I spend intensively, and the senses that are challenged and encouraged.

Thus, photography is at the same time a balance to the often-existing hectic of everyday life. It offers a way to relax and focus on the beautiful things while forgetting the time.

Flickr has always contributed a great deal to the excitement over the years. The potential worldwide exchange with many people who share this passion and the inspirations through countless fantastic photos are essential to evolve and gain new perspectives.

Many thanks to all Flickr friends who share this hobby and especially to those I was allowed to exchange experiences for many years.

Die Fotografie bereichert mein Leben. Sie schärft meine Wahrnehmung und gibt mir die Möglichkeit, besondere Momente oder Situationen festzuhalten und aus dem, was mich in einem solchen Augenblick umgibt, herauszufiltern, was mich berührt und fasziniert. In erster Linie sehe ich mich als Natur- beziehungsweise Landschaftsfotografen, doch es gibt auch zahlreiche andere Themen, die mich interessieren.

Wichtiger als das finale Foto sind jedoch der Prozess des bewussten Wahrnehmens, die Zeit, die man intensiv verbringt und die Sinne, die gefordert und gefördert werden.

Somit ist die Fotografie auch gleichzeitig ein Ausgleich zur oft vorhandenen Hektik des Alltags. Sie bietet eine Möglichkeit abzuschalten und sich auf die schönen Dinge zu konzentrieren und dabei die Zeit zu vergessen.

Flickr hat in all den Jahren immer einen großen Teil zu dieser Begeisterung beigetragen. Der mögliche weltweite Austausch mit zahlreichen Menschen, die diese Leidenschaft teilen und die Inspirationen durch zahllose fantastische Fotos tragen wesentlich dazu bei, sich weiterzuentwickeln und neue Sichtweisen zu erlangen.

Vielen Dank an alle Flickr-Freunde, die dieses Hobby teilen und mit denen ich mich zu einem großen Teil schon seit vielen Jahren austauschen durfte und deren Kommentare mich immer ein Stückchen weitergebracht haben!
