Boy Scout Troop 170 is chartered to East Somerset Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky. Troop meetings are held most Monday nights from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the church gym, 345 Pumphouse Road, Somerset, KY 42503. Our unit was once again certified as a “Journey To Excellence” Gold Level, 100% Boy’s Life unit for 2018, meaning the troop meets quality performance standards measuring planning and budget, membership (recruiting and retention), program (camping, service, advancement and utilizing the “Patrol Method”), and volunteer leadership (family engagement and trained leaders).
