I was born and raised on our small family farm in Ohio. Growing up I raised and showed horses and livestock at the county, state, and national levels. Agriculture is a huge part of my life, and also what has led me to becoming a buckeye. I am majoring in Agribusiness and Applied Economics to pursue a career doing what I love. For this assignment, my pictures have shown that I have stayed true to my roots in both the selfie project and now my desire project. I have realized most of my desires are influenced by my hobbies and places I have grown up. I tend to desire equine related things, as well as summertime activities and favorite places. For this course project, I set a routine to take at least one picture per day. My strategy was that I would take pictures everyday rather it was something I ran across doing daily activities or searching the web. I then saved them to an album on my phone, where I then chose my favorites to upload. My theme for the Desire Project was to display what was important to me with the things/places associated. Comparing my photos lend me to a conclusion that I tend to desire the things associated with my hobbies and places I have grown up. For example, I show horses so I desired things such as saddles, places I have grown up showing that have created great memories and friends, as well as my dream colt. This project was interesting because I was able to see my desires in a larger way and realize that I want to work hard to be able to enjoy the things I desire and accomplish these goals in the future. Desires drive ambition, and help you to succeed when you can strive to work towards a goal. This project has given me the chance to set goals to work towards and serves as a reminder to never stop working hard to achieve them.
