I earned a Diplom-Physiker degree in theoretical physics in the year 1987, but I have been taking photos since 1973. I pursued some studies of the history of art in the 20th centrury and beyond. I also studied psychology.

From early in 1987 until late in 1990, I underwent psychoanalytic treatment and subsequently was confronted with the "magic" of the subconscious. In consequence of psychoanalytic treatment / mistreatment (!), my life has been devastated for the ensuing 30 years.
