Hello and welcome to my Flickr site.

I have been fascinated by aviation since a young age so the majority of my images are aviation based. I started talking photographs in the late 70’s. Money was tight so I started off with a Zorki 4K camera my dad brought me for Christmas. It was a funny bit of kit with an offset view finder and lenses were hard to come by. I still have it in the loft somewhere ! My next camera was a Praktica Super TL1000 which at least had a viewfinder that looked down the lens.

Fortunately I have kept most of my early negatives and have scanned some of them with varying results.

I have been shooting with digital for some time now using Nikon’s. My current set up is a D7200 and D850, one day I may take the plunge and go mirror-less, but the D850 is such an awesome camera I’m in no rush.

After taking photographs for around 47 years I’m still learning, especially when it comes to editing. I’m also inspired by the many brilliant photographers here on Flickr who share their images for all to see.
