I expect a photo to be geo tagged, whether it is a landscape, a portrait, a macro or a lab composition. In my view, geo tagging is important, because the location, most often, can not be known from the image; as well as time, location mostly needs to come with metadata to be known. Giving information in the description about the location is also alright, but geo tagging is faster to know the location and it may be the only way when location is written in a language one does not know.

In some view, a photo in no case is the reality from were it is taken, it is rather artful. However, reality has multiple facets and reality is known from multiple points of view, or -in a another way- relations in reality and in the knowledge of reality are uncertain. Truth is pathless. Therefore, there is an actual link with reality in a picture not to be taken but as a partial view of reality.
