I was born on a naval base on July 25, 1964 in Pensacola, Florida where my father was stationed. As a result, I spent part of my childhood living in Yalova, Turkey and Taipei, Taiwan, until we returned to the states in 1971. From there, I attended first and second grade on the slopes of Mt Hood in Brightwood, Oregon and then relocated to the Portland suburb of Vancouver Washington, where I attended 3rd through 11th grades. We returned to Mt. Hood for my 12th grade year.

After graduating from Sandy Union High School in 1982, I quickly made my escape to the city where I then spent almost twenty years deeply immersed in the Post-Punk / Pre-Alternative era music scene, traversing the underground subculture's in Portland, Seattle, San Fransisco and Los Angeles from 1981 through 1999. Throughout this period I had a myriad of wild and surreal experiences surrounded by underground rock stars, speed freak drag queens and various eccentric denizens of the night — I was known in the scene as Davey Dayglow.

For the past 18 years I have made my home in Honolulu, Hawaii. I spend my free time traveling the world. Over the past 8 yearsI have visited China, Hong Kong, Macau, Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria; twice), Istanbul (Turkey), Athens and the Island of Agina (Greece), Madrid and Seville (Spain), Lisbon and Sintra (Portugal), Naples, Florence and Rome (Italy), Prague (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Poland). Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto), Portugal (second visit): Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Sintra and Lisbon, Italy (second visit): Rome, Pompei, Naples, Bologna, Venice, Padua, Murano, Italy (third visit) Florence, Sienna, Ravenna, Riomagiore and Manarola, Luca, Pisa, Perugia and Rome, France: Paris, Rouen and Mont Saint Michelle, and Spain (second visit) Granada, Malaga, Seville, Cordoba and Madrid.

Personal interests include a very broad and open minded appreciation of art; theatre and opera; vinyl records with a particular focus on 70s - 80s New Wave, Punk and Post-Punk — I am a long time and ardent fan of David Bowie, and worship at the altar of Siouxsie and the Banshees; gourmet cooking, and film. I love underground cult and obscure experimental films (i.e. John Waters, Russ Meyer — as well as anything that is "purposefully bad" schlock), and, a wide assortment of 80s era foreign art-house films, especially those of Werner Herzog and Fassbinder. My top 3 films of all time are (Planet of the Apes, What's Up Doc and The Ten Commandments). As the Creative Director for the communications office of a large private educational institution, I study and practice art direction and graphic design, and have interests in industrial and interior design, architecture, photography, couture fashion and the craftsmanship of turning fine gems into haute joaillerie. I love archaeology and ancient history, and am transfixed by the cosmos. I love cats — and I have a filthy mouth. My motto is "leap and the net will appear." I am for the absolute "uniqueness of the individual," and have zero interest in being labelled anything. I am not a joiner.
