I am not a professional photographer, but like to take pictures every now and then. I particularly like the older wooden boats, especially the mid 1950's Chris-Crafts which I grew up around on my dads boat a Chris-Craft. I love being out on the water, but the water does not always like me as I have a big problem with motion sickness out at sea. After being kicked out of the navy for this ailment, I decided, I want a boat to be my home. I rebuilt a 45 footer into a live aboard and sold that in 1975 when I bought the MAR-SUE and rebuilt her from 1975-1980 in Norfolk, VA. Raised two kids onboard until we found a lot in Chesapeake, VA along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AICW) that could be made to accommodate the MAR-SUE. Prepared the lot by dredging a channel off the main channel, built a dock and moved here in 1986. Designed and drew up our home to be built in the galley and started construction in 1987. We moved off the MAR-SUE in April of 1990. I like seeing what transits the waterway, you never know what might come bye, it is interesting. This is where most of my pictures of boats come from, my dinning room window.
