Most of the pictures I will display here is other people's work that has impressed the hell out of me. I offer it to others in the hope that they will enjoy them as much as I have (and continue to).

I love the learning opportunity I have found here. I enjoy the 'challenges' that arise to my thinking and preconceived ideas about photography. Not least of which is how I feel about digital manipulation.

In my time on Flickr, I find the issues of B & W and shadows on skin the most interesting and technically challenging. I've notice that this has not stopped me from 'favoring' a wide range of styles & topics.

Photo journalism and social commentary, as exampled by many shots of the Families have become quite an inspiration as an example of the role of 'Story telling' in the Art of Photography.

I have taken a liking to the Islamic salutation "Peace be with you", it offers a generosity that is hard to find in a Free Market Economy or the Christian religions.
