My favourite companies are;
Go-Ahead London, Abellio - now renamed Transport UK & Stagecoach London bus. Sorry, I'm not much into Arriva as they always have old tatty buses on routes for far too long.
I also collect 2000s era red London model buses I remember from my childhood and the odd old Routemaster too yes the classic bus you'll remember boarding with a pole at the back with a conductor on board back in the older days.
whilst out and about on my travels in between I tend to randomly photograph mainly rare or odd working buses on routes they're not usually supposed to go on. As well as some of my own favourite local bus routes too.
I like bus types mainly from the 90s to early 2000s era due to buses having specific company liveries back then. You could easily tell what bus company it was from their unique colours.
If you're wondering what my Favourite bus types are here you are;
Optare Solo, ALX400 Trident, Plaxton Pointer Dart, Wright Eclipse Gemini 1, Plaxton President, Optare Olympus, Scania Omnicity, Enviro 400, Scania Omnicity, Mercedes Citaro, Enviro 200, Optare Esteem, Caetano Nimbus, MCV Evolution.
I hate Wright Streetlite's there ugly, look like they have heavy steering and harsh breaking when slowing down or stopping. Further I don't like Wright Eclipse Gemini 3, or Streetdeck. They seem like they have cramped seats with hardly any leg room and really tiny windows. Just horrible both bus types, Wrong Scrapshite & the Wrong Grimini 3 and scrapdeck.
