I was born in Colombia in 1964 and I have been painting professionally since 1986. I have a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá and an MA in Painting from The Slade School of Fine Arts in London. I was awarded scholarships from the Government of Colombia, the British Council and Delfina Studios Trust. I have travelled all over the world, I lived in Colombia, Peru, Germany, UK, Zimbabwe, USA, Switzerland, France, and I currently live in Portugal. I have created more than 750 paintings and they are in private collections all over the world. Each of my paintings is a thoughtful and powerful expression of my love for our world and its inhabitants, of the need to respect and protect Nature and,of the necessity to keep up being hopeful, joyful, and full of wonder amidst the chaos and the cruelty that surrounds us.
