I am a restaurant owner and chef which is a very busy and fast paced environment. I think I gravitate to photography because it causes me to slow down, focus and take in my environment and surrounding beauty that is so easy to overlook in my busy day to day work. And yet creating a great dish and creating a great photo require the same balance of science and art that I am efficient at achieving in the kitchen but am just starting to practice with the camera. It is a fun and rewarding journey.
