Am past 70 years of age, married, active in politics, church--traditional. Have been interested in history, numismatics, philately, comparative religion, music, architecture and art.
My beliefs are: We are all saved from before the beginning of time, by the shedding of the Most Precious Blood (per St. John XXIII). That means to me both Holy Communion and the Holy Grail--the bloodlines that go back to Noah and Adam. Coming out of that is the Christus Victor theology, and that victory was secured before time. The events of 2000 years ago were an enactment and a fresh understanding.
God is dominant over both good and evil, so neither good nor evil have any independent existence.
Sexuality and sensuality are gifts from God and, so long as mutual consent and the desire to do no permanent harm are fully respected, anything goes.
Homosexuality, voluntary childlessness, gender nonconformancy and celibacy are part of God's mandate to control overpopulation of any species, as is birth control. Fetishes are fine, so long as no one is harmed by them. I have a few, and they are apparent in my faves. The wounded woman is prominent. That is now explained by a biological fact: The male is expendable, and is frightened and embarrassed when he is wounded or injured. (Exception: An elderly man who is impaired by age or stove up can be majestic.) A woman who has a visible injury will more often than not flaunt it, as a sign that she is a survivor, and has a large support system as a result. An injured man without a family or life partner is a throwaway. As long as I am here, not much turns me on any more, given my age and the relief that I feel with a declining libido. I have noted that this does turn on some women, and I will not discourage that, but they know the score--I am taken.
As to nudity--as art and some forms of entertainment, it is fine. No couple should enter into a long-term commitment without getting a good look at each other naked. However, when I toured the strip joints in Juarez, I was offended by the exploitation, and took the tack, when you have seen one, you have seen them all. That was in 1966.
My political views are progressive, but built on tradition. But tradition is being restated, revamped and reconfigured. I am a monarchist, and I will not budge one inch from the Creed and the Sacraments, but I am inclusive, as all are ways to get us on to the One Path. The time is past, where a patriarchal society is the norm.
We must realize that we are governed far more by instinct than we want to admit. Our fetishes, sexual behavior, religious and political feelings, attitudes toward money, gold hunger and our entire range of social behavior go back to the animal kingdom, sometimes to plants and minerals.
Finally, I am sharing this stuff, because I am comfortable in my own hide.
