I am Andrew Johnson, a graduate journalism student at Columbia University and a resident of Brooklyn from birth. I previously attended the City University of New York- York College and Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. I have had a love of trains and buses since I was a child and photos of them will be the primary focus of this account.

I also like writing, broadcasting, sports, comedy, history, trivia, traveling, music, great movies, great television shows and space exploration. I am also trying to get into fitness. My favorite photo of all time is the Blue Marble photo from Apollo 17 (and that very photo is my buddy icon).

My first camera was the Optimus DC-5347, a RadioShack made camera which I strongly disliked. It was a camera with a very rudimentary sensor and no manual controls and I really could not wait to get a new camera. I owned it from October of 2006 until early 2007, when it's LCD was damaged when I fell one day.

I subsequently replaced that camera with the Kodak Easyshare Z612. This camera had a better sensor and manual controls, but it was not what I really wanted. I owned it from March of 2007 until September of 2007, when somehow it went missing.

In March of 2008, I bought the Canon Powershot S5 IS, which was a camera with a great sensor and manual controls along with a great zoom lens I took many great photos with it.. However, the camera did not give me the ability to take great indoor photographs, as its lens opening could only go as wide at f2.7. I loved having for a while, but I ultimately wanted to upgrade to a DSLR.

For years, I fantasized about having a DSLR with a nice low light lens, but I did not have the money or the ability to get money to buy it, since I was too busy with school to get a part-time job.

Finally, on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014, with a tuition refund check I got from the Columbia Journalism School, I used some of the money to buy a Nikon D5300, along with the Sigma Normal 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Autofocus Lens for Nikon AF and the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR Nikkor Zoom Lens. I am truly in love with this camera and those two lens. The photo quality is spectacular and professional in look. I use the camera's RAW mode, which gives me the ability to edit photos much like professional photographers do. My editing software is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6. I hope to have this camera for many, many years to come.

I am single, 21 to 22 year old man and I am actively looking for a lovely and intelligent woman to date.
