My name is Bill Smith and I live in the north of England in a town called Colne in the county of Lancashire. I am 81 years old and have always had an interest in art. Even as a school boy, I was always drawing.

In my 30’s, I took up oil-painting and spent three years under the tuition of a local professional artist. Later, I became very interested in pottery and ran my own small pottery business for many years. For the last 20 years, my interest in photography has grown and I now devote all my artistic endeavours to this genre. Specifically, my interests are landscape, steam trains, wildlife and portraits.
