Hello,

I am an eighteen year old photo hobbyist. I recently finished a high school photography class and produced a collection of photographs of various subjects and styles. Prior to this class, however, I had been taking photos for several years, namely of nature and my wilderness expeditions.

My preferred subject matter is nature macro. I love taking shots of flowers and water droplets. I enjoy a lot of different photo styles and am working to broaden my repertoire. I have been using point-and-shoots until very recently so now I am trying to improve my portrait skills. The Nikon 3100 I am currently using captures skin tones much more effectively and pleasantly than my Canon point-and-shoots. I have a fairly expansive range of capabilities and I continue to work to expand it.

I am proficient with Photoshop and can use it to enhance images or for full editing, including layer masks, selective color and effects, and image overlay.

I plan on using my photography skills for the rest of my life. Whether this will turn into a career or not I am uncertain but I may very well use it to document my travels and adventures, perhaps with a travel blog or something of that nature.
