The Miami Student is an independent, student-run media outlet based in Oxford, Ohio. Newspapers are printed every Tuesday and Friday during the Miami University school year.

As the oldest university newspaper in the country, established 1826, we remain true to our core values and commit ourselves to providing the community with accurate, objective news. That being said, a lot has changed over the decades; technology has allowed journalism to transcend ink on a stack of paper. Because of this, we must constantly re-evaluate tradition in order to keep up. Our mission is to connect with readers on a daily basis by providing consistent coverage of the community. By incorporating multimedia components—audio, video, photos and graphics—with written stories, we attack news from all angles and provide in-depth analysis.
