Post-fire landscapes in Southern California are probably one of the most dramatic examples of vegetation recovery from apparent fire destruction and photo series are one of the most effective educational tools to show this kind of change over time. This account stores photo data for the Springs Fire Photo Monitoring Project, a visual study of landscape recovery after the 2013 Springs Fire in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Point Mugu State Park, and is maintained by the National Park Service.
