I am a metalsmith, sculptor, and maker currently residing in Greenville, NC. I am interested both visually and historically in the technology of machinery, manufacturing, security, and tools. I come from a fine craft and materials background, and consider myself before anything else to be an object maker. Most of the objects I make are objects of personal desire and reflect the particular spheres of specialized knowledge that interest me. My current work deals with the interpretation of jewelry and sculptural forms as a gateway into the inner workings of one's mental landscape. I am fascinated by the Surrealist movement and in particular, Salvador Dali's invention and use of Paranoia-Criticism.
