Mega Machine was purchased in 1984. It was formerly known as Parrot Machine Shop which was founded before the turn of the 20th century. From our facilities in Tumwater, Washington, we serve clients from the aerospace, heavy-equipment and firearms industries.

 

Additionally, we also serve individual clients for single part machining, fabrication, and repair work. We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest in machining technologies. Our expansive shop includes 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines, a 5-axis C.M.M. inspector, and a 2000 watt C.N.C. laser cutter.

We are known best for our production of precision AR-15 components. Our high quality and

true-black anodizing is unsurpassed in the rifle production industry.

The entire manufacturing process here at Mega is designed to guarantee the best fit and finish is achieved. Every part we produced is inspected in a multi-step process that insures the highest quality in the industry, and this produces a fit and finish that is second to none. That’s not our opinion, ask around!

 

Inspections -

 

We use nothing but the latest in inspection technology to guarantee the quality of our products. Our inspection equipment comes from makers like Wenzel, Mitutoyo, and Brown & Sharp.

 

Every part we produce is inspected in our state of the art climate controlled clean room. All of the parts shipped from our facility have been dimensionally and visually inspected by no less than four different people. We do this not only to meet our high tolerances but to ensure every one of our products will live up to the customers’ expectations.

 

Specifications -

 

All of our products are manufactured using better then mil-spec tolerances.

 

We took the original mil-spec tolerances for the AR-15 products and decided that wasn’t good enough. Our engineering department went to work and what we ended up with is the exceptional tolerances and fit we have become so well known for. Not only will you find that our products interchange with any other mil-spec components, we will do it with a higher grade of fit.
