Artistic expression is a necessity to me. Painting and drawing allow me to consider an extensive range of ideas and emotions.

I invite the viewer to form their own ideas and have their own experiences. While I have some abstract idea or feeling I am attempting to convey, I allow the creative process to take charge and form.

Being primarily self-taught, I work from mostly from intuition while leveraging some methodical processes from my extensive, professional graphic design background.

I am looking to art to save and free. I believe in rawness multiplied by ambiguity. The grey areas of life that make up the fabric of humanity but not always readily apparent— this is the realm that interests me most. Although the big picture is crucial, it is often the nuances of existence that I focus on.
