I've been taking pictures of buses for 50 years. I didn't have access to a decent digital camera until about 2004, so anything older is a scanned print. If you remember, every set of prints you got back from the chemists was on different paper, had a different colour cast and was either stunning or lousy - all of those variations are represented here! The oldest photos were actually taken on my Dad's Kodak Brownie, a wonderful device, repaired with black PVC tape to stop the light getting in. I think the digital canera is a wonderful invention, and I can't understand why some people still shoot on 35mm film.
I grew up in Watford, then moved to St. Albans, so London Country buses tend to dominate the early years. But I was always very fond of the West Country, and my late wife and I bought a house in Dartmouth in 2000, so there's inevitably a lot of Devon/Cornwall photos.
I don't mind anyone using my pictures for non-profit making activities, so long as the source is acknowledged.
