Still in the dark about everything that is the world of photography at the age of about 16 years I started taking pictures just for fun with my first photo gadget, the Nokia 6600 first phone ever to offer the possibility to record short video , from then on I felt that there was something that attracted me to capture images and moments of my life, even though at the time all this had almost nothing to do with photography. In fact, a few years later, with the occasion of my graduation in 2006 I choose as a gift the first real camera, a prosumer compact, the Olympus SP-320 with whom I have a good approach to the "real" photography with a decent quality, but above all with PASM style reflex by which I can learn to control the car, of course another story than my dear old Nokia. From then on I discovered the pleasure of capturing images of various types, from photography to travel to family photos and things that surround me, but I used the camera still only occasionally and mostly in Scene mode for simplicity. The turning point was in 2012 when I was about to graduate in Civil Engineering, thinking about a possible gift (worthy of a degree) I come across in the world of mirrorless, and just happens to Nikon, the Nikon 1 J2 with which it was love at first sight. Strangely, I did not choose an SLR though the fashion advised this solution, but I tend to not follow trends, I felt more attracted by the opportunity to take everywhere with me a quality machine definitely superior to my first compact without sacrificing comfort and portability note. The first successes were not slow in coming, with some photos that receive even a moderate success both on this and on other clubs, from here on, I could no longer do without photographing, buying my first lenses, a tele and then a fixed 10 mm F / 2.8 Nikon 1 that makes my perfect partner in life (as I like to call it) small and discreet but with due quality of the image, so you always (or almost!) the machine within reach hand, because the opportunities arise when you least expect it. After a year that the last upgrade in 2013 happens to me a great opportunity a "reflex" Sony SLT a37 as a new one month old at half price, I take this opportunity and start a new era, though in reality not too different from my mirrorless as an approach to photography (as in how to live view autofocus and behave very similarly), a short time after purchasing a telephoto 300 mm with whom I experience the photo hunt with it I had a chance to reconcile two great passions, and Nature Photography. Finally I bought a fixed lens portrait a 50 mm f / 1.8 which allowed me to make a significant leap in image quality.

Ancora allo scuro di tutto ciò che è il mondo della fotografia, all'età di circa 16 anni iniziai a scattare foto quasi per gioco con il mio primo aggeggio fotografico, il Nokia 6600 primo telefono in assoluto ad offrire anche la possibilità di registrare brevi video, da li in poi sentii che c'era qualcosa che mi attraeva nel catturare immagini e momenti della mia vita, anche se all'epoca tutto ciò non aveva quasi nulla a che fare con la fotografia. Infatti pochi anni dopo, con l'occasione del mio diploma nel 2006 scelgo come regalo la prima vera fotocamera, una compatta prosumer, la Olympus SP-320 con la quale ho un buon approccio alla "vera" fotografia con una discreta qualità ma soprattutto con modalità PASM stile reflex grazie ai quali posso imparare a controllare la macchina, ovviamente tutt'altra storia rispetto al mio caro vecchio Nokia. Da li in poi scopro il piacere di catturare immagini di svariato tipo, dalla fotografia di viaggio alle foto di famiglia e alle cose che mi circondano, tuttavia utilizzavo la fotocamera ancora solo occasionalmente e principalmente in modalità Scene per semplicità. La svolta si ha quando nel 2012 mi accingevo alla laurea in Ingegneria Civile, pensando ad un possibile regalo (degno di una laurea) mi imbatto nel mondo delle mirrorless, e guarda caso proprio di casa Nikon, la Nikon 1 J2 con la quale è stato amore a prima vista. Stranamente non ho scelto una reflex anche se la moda consigliava questa soluzione, ma io tendo a non seguire le mode, mi sentivo più attratto dalla possibilità di portare ovunque con me una macchina di qualità sicuramente superiore alla mia prima compatta ma senza sacrificare la comodità e portabilità appunto. Le prime soddisfazioni non tardano ad arrivare, con alcune foto che riscuotono anche un discreto successo sia su questo che su altri club, da qui in poi credo di non poter più fare a meno di fotografare, acquisto le mie prime ottiche, un tele e poi un fisso il 10 mm F/2.8 che rende la mia Nikon 1 una perfetta compagna di vita (così mi piace chiamarla) piccola e discreta ma con la dovuta qualità di immagine, in modo da avere sempre (o quasi!) la macchina a portata di mano, perchè le occasioni si presentano quando meno te lo aspetti. A distanza di un anno avviene l'ultimo upgrade, nel 2013 mi capita un grande occasione una "reflex" SLT Sony a37 come nuova un mese di vita a metà prezzo, colgo l'occasione e inizia una nuova era, anche se in realtà non troppo differente dall mia mirrorless come approccio alla fotografia (poichè in quanto a live view e autofocus si comportano molto similmente), dopo pochissimo tempo acquisto un tele 300 mm con il quale sperimento la caccia fotografica, con essa ho avuto la possibilità di conciliare due grandi passioni, Natura e Fotografia. Infine ho acquistato un obiettivo fisso da ritratto un 50 mm F/1.8 che mi ha consentito di fare un netto salto di qualità di immagine.

Fotografare è passione, sentimento e libertà...cerco di esprimere me stesso, quello che sento, quello che VEDO, tramite la fotografia. Ora non credo di poterne più farne a meno, è come se mi fosse entrata dentro
