"You're never too old to do goofy stuff."--Ward Cleaver from Leave It To Beaver
I got interested in photography prior to a trip to Queensland, Australia in November 2003. My first camera was an Olympus 5050z (still have it) and it took many years of trial and error to move up to my first DSLR which was/is a Canon Rebel 4ti. I'm a hobbyist, content to be a hobbyist but want to keep learning to take the best pictures I can. I just bought another Canon 7ti to replace the 4ti which I am going to give to a friend so I now have 2 Canon Rebel 7ti's and a Rebel 5ti and use all L lenses (2 of them I bought used) on the cameras with a 100 mm macro on a 7ti, 24-105 mm on a 7ti and a 70-300 mm on the 5ti. Wish list for the future is a used 100-400 mm L and a teleconverter. My 4 favorite things to shoot are lighthouses, old covered bridges, waterfalls, sunrises/sunsets and after that, birds, flowers and the moon. More opportunities here to shoot flowers than the rest so you will most likely see lots of flower pictures from me. I retired from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in January of 2013 after 37 years and 7 months in the Track Maintenance department. Prior to that, I served 3 years in the U.S. Army. I like to tease people, can take as good as I give and love to make people laugh and feel good.
