Hello I am Bronte, and I am a 17 year old student at Polaris ELS. I am in Photography with miss Cree Bol. This is my first photo class ever, and I do really enjoy it. I feel that I have learned a lot when it comes to technique and color schemes. I do very much enjoy taking pictures such as, portraits and pictures with a lot of color.

Some photographers that inspire me are, Richard Aviedon, and also all my classmates inspire me everyday. They have shown me how to become a better photographer just by how much they show me support.

I think that these two different types of pictures show a lot of mood and emotion with a bunch or really little things. I use the Nikon 3100 when I am at school in class, or I use my mom’s Olympus camera. The photos I don't really enjoy is saturation photos , whenever I do one of those photos it turns out wrong and I’m not very good at it. I think I want to continue photography as a hobby or something, because I feel that photos tell a story and set a mood for something.

In that case I want to take more classes to get even more background knowledge on certain strategies.

In the future I do want to keep photography as a hobby, or I want to travel later in life so I could take pictures of my travels. I don’t think that it will become a career but it still will be part of my life with travels or trying to keep memories. I am really interested when i take pictures where it shows off what people are thinking! May it be from their eyes, or body posture.

I Love all my pictures but their is two in particular that make me overjoyed. One is the photo i took of my best friend Haleigh. She has the most cute smile and she is a very happy person and i could see through her posture and her little smile behind her sleeves that she was happy. The other picture i really am proud of is of my funny friend Taran. What i loved about it was his facial expression told the whole picture he had a stare in his eye that draws you to him.

I try to take pictures that draw you towards something beautiful or interesting. I think it is really easy to show that through people and their emotions. All in all, i feel that i have improved my skills as a photographer and i have improved talking to my models to get certain emotion out of them that they might not expect but might like.
