Raconteur & bonviever, Man about town....
Favourite modes of transport; Class 26/27, Talbot Tagora or Eagle Transporter, whichever is readily available....
My photostream has pictures from Strathspey Railway Aviemore, visits to other UK railways & transport related items.
Many of my pictures were taken during visits to Sweden, a great country indeed, especially for railway enthusiasts.
Very interested in typography & graphic design in a public transport context, hence being part of the great 'Blue-bordered road sign hunt', catch these hangovers from the '60's & 70's whilst you can!
Sorry, not interested in Class 66's, each to their own, etc.
21/4/20 Lockdown update; I have taken the chance to scan old prints taken over the last 30 years or so from my earlier railway preservation experiences. These fell into two distinct periods, 1984-2000 at the Caledonian Railway (Brechin), where I was membership secretary 1990-2000 & a company director 1990-96, & Royal Deeside Railway at Crathes 1996-2013 (founder member).
Update 13/10/20, Been very busy at work, so not much time to scan more of my archive. However you are cordially invited to view or join a new group I have started, ‘Railway Preservation in Scotland, No Mainline Steam’. Your pictures of Scotland’s preserved standard gauge, narrow gauge & miniature railways are most welcome.
As the group’s name states, this is not a place for mainline steam (or diesel) hauled trains or stations, etc., there are plenty of other groups for pictures of these.
