I am a creative soul. Creating comes from my soul and feeds my soul...it's a beautiful thing.

I am a self-taught indie artist making mixed media art and jewelry (and a bit weaving, too). While I have been creative and artsy all my life, I started focusing on it much more about seven years ago now. I had stopped working outside the home as a psychotherapist due to chronic pain (primarily at that time due to fibromyalgia). It was very difficult to give up my career, but I had no choice. I chose to find the blessings in that...being home with my kids when they were younger, having the opportunity to work on my personal growth more often, being home to take care of my chronically (and now terminally) ill husband, who is my one and only soul mate. Once the kids were older it also allowed me to spend time creating!

At this point in my artistic journey I create the following:

* one of a kind pieces of jewelry using a combination of antique, vintage and modern day components

* mixed media art: many things from personal art journals to art cards (atc/aceo), mixed media originals of various sizes, mail art and sometimes assemblage art

* recently I've tried my hand and hand weaving....it's fun!
