Creative Commons Photo License

You must provide attribution when you use one of my licensed photos. My photos, except for those relatively few photos showing children or unarguably identifiable adults other than myself, are licensed under Attribution (CC BY 2.0). The photos showing identifiable adults in public settings are licensed under Attribution-Noncommerical-NoDerivative (CC BY-NC-ND 2.0). The photos showing identifiable adults in private settings or showing children anywhere are not licensed.

Attribution

For the online usage of an unmodified or slightly modified licensed photo, a simple attribution along these lines works for me:

where the text Flickr is the hyperlink to the original photo's Flickr photo page. The Flickr photo page conveniently shows my original photo (with title when provided), confirms that I am indeed the licensor, and provides a symbolic summary of and a hyperlink to the Creative Commons license. For example,

Even the host Flickr gets credit with this simple attribution. For derivative works and non-online usage, attribution along the lines exemplified in Creative Commons best practices for attribution can be used. Good luck with these more complex attributions!
