The introduction of this project requires careful wording as the very nature of the concept is to pose the question ‘how do we interpret the idea of ‘Home’? And further to this initial concept, in what way can we represent the idea of ‘Home’ photographically?
Oxfordshire’s demographic posits people from all over the world, so the idea of ‘Home’ for some will be sensitive and complicated.
Our intention is to reveal these complexities through an open call for submissions in partner ship with the Oxford Mail and subsequent Exhibition to be held a Oxford Brookes University between 14th September - 5th October. This will form part of the Photography Oxford Festival 2014.
The best photos will also appear in the Oxford Mail and feature in an exhibition held in the city. A judging panel will decide two runners up and an overall winner, who will receive a trophy and a day on the job with an Oxford Mail photographer.
Open to Oxfordshire residents only!
Extended deadline for submission to the 7th September (Competition)
We have added a live element which will allow you to respond to the show and exhibit for the final two weeks - deadline for this is September 21st.... exhibition runs from 14th Sept - 5th Oct. Good luck!
