Hi there! My name is Ben and I'm a biologist!

I work primarily with salamanders, but I love all amphibians and reptiles. I currently call the mountains of North Carolina home, but my roots are in southwest Missouri. I love nature photography almost as much as I love salamanders, and I take every opportunity to combine the two. By all metrics, I'm an amateur photographer, but I'm getting better with every shot!

I care very much about all these critters--no animals were harmed during photo shoots! Protected species were photographed with permission.
