Passionate about photography, still loads to learn.

Used to enjoy Black and white photography in my youth and even had a darkroom when I first got married. That soon became a nursery and the camera was put away for a number of years. As the kids are now grown up, I moved into the digital age with the purchase of a Canon 700D (always been a Canon man) and realised that everything had changed since I had put my old cameras away.

A search for inspiration in my local area led me to Flickr, after realising just how far behind the times In terms of technique I was, the inspiration I gained from other photographers work has pushed me to improve my own work.

I have been very fortunate to meet up with a number of the photographers that I had followed and their help, advice and friendship has been wonderful.

My main interest is in landscape photography, particularly sunrises, as an early riser I find it impacts less on the family as I can be back usually before anyone is up. Although the purists would say it is important to get the image in camera, I am also interested in what can be done with lightroom and photoshop, although I do not have a dark room anymore, I still enjoy the excitement of watching an image develop.

I always welcome comments and I am happy to answer questions if I can. Where people leave comments I will try to respond in kind as it is the interaction with other photographers that I really enjoy about Flickr.
