We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells and constellations....
i will spend a few hours photographing an area and it's contents usually in morning/early afternoon light .....some are recurring themes and areas like a journey of dreams. I am always mindful that even familiar locations can hold new perspectives. Photography is a way to mutate my curiosity into a form I can share…….
One of the things that attracts me to photography most is that it leads beyond my preconceptions about the world, its inhabitants, and myself. The discipline of photography asks me to go out and look again. Every time I do I see new things. It’s learning to see gifts we never knew the world had to give....a very few times I've had a similar feeling in a photo by someone else....I'll post it within a small group of mine to celebrate it all in the moment. Just let me know if you want it deleted 🙏

i process my photos on a 16" macbook pro with the retina xdr screen set to the highest
brightness.....I use leica, hasselblad, fujifilm and sony cameras and lenses, very seldom use a tripod and often i'm straddling my bicycle frame when taking a photo

This is not an easy thing to achieve. Simplicity of eye, heart and vision is earned only through dedication and perseverance. I have yet to get there, to this poetry of what is, and I look to the posts of this talented photographer to light the way forward.
