Jackson Capps has been playing guitar and singing since he was eight-years-old, and started performing in public when he was nine-years-old. Jackson started playing the mandolin last year and has grown increasingly more interested in bluegrass music as he has gotten older. He is currently in the eighth grade and has known that he wants to be an entertainer since he can remember.

Jackson appeared onstage with Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives in concert on March 23, 2013 after making his debut on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on July 20, 2012. More recently, Jackson opened for songwriters Byron Hill and Wil Nance at the Writer's Share at Workplay in Birmingham, AL and appeared on Kevin Sport's The Right Place at Puckett's in Columbia, TN (the show will air soon!). Jackson appeared on The Shotgun Red Variety Show, which aired on March 19, 2012 on RFD-TV; the World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge became his sponsor in July 2011; Jackson opened for Gene Watson at the Hankfest in May 2011 and George Hamilton IV in May 2012; and he won the Trussville's Got Talent Show in February 2011.
