I was born and brought up in Portsmouth before moving around the country with my work. I was fortunate enough to be offered early retirement and am now well and truly settled in Taunton where I spend much of my time taking my camera for walks along the beautiful coastlines, across the Somerset Levels or up on the hills and moors.

I like to travel whenever possible and always aim to capture the essence of the places that I visit. I have been fortunate enough to be able to indulge myself by going on specialist photographic holidays to some wonderful locations with a renowned wildlife photographer. With the benefit of these experiences and his instruction I would like to think that my photographic techniques are improving.

Since taking early retirement I have plenty of time to pursue my passion for photography. I have a particular interest in wildlife but also enjoy photographing landscapes and architecture as well as experimenting with creative pictures.

It has taken me a while to feel confident enough to put my pictures on this site but now that I have started I will be adding more pictures over the coming weeks and months.
