Just a guy who bought a rather inexpensive bridge camera, and suddenly found himself addicted to taking photos.

I made a slight upgrade from a Fuji S4800 to a Nikon B700 a few years back, and I have a few point and shoots I use occasionally. I also found a well used Nikon1 with a couple lenses at a thrift store. I use that occasionally and will from time to time post photos made with it on Flickr. Some time ago I found a Sony SLT-A57 with its 18-55 kit lens also at a thrift shop. After a time I purchased a 75-300 lens to make the A57 a little more versatile,

My wish is to upgrade to a more recent DSLR or maybe a mirrorless camera/lens combo in the future, something in the enthusiast range. Sadly there always seems to be something else that is needed around here and I can't justify many hundreds or even thousands of dollars for what amounts to a hobby. I may have to just muddle along with old gear and hope I win a lottery sometime or find a genie's lamp. lol

If you look, you'll see I love bird photos, but I'll also take photos of anything that catches my eye, and the various themed groups here move me in directions I normally wouldn't think to take.

A lot of the time I try to approach photography with a sense of humour and fun. This shows up a lot of the time in my captions and descriptions. It helps, I hope, make up for my limited knowledge about photography, my lack of experience, and my lack of decent camera gear.

Some of my shots turn out pretty good. Some are absolute crap. I try to improve but then again this is just a hobby. I don't want to turn it into work. I just want to have fun doing it. I wonder if anyone reads these things? lol
