Throughout the 90s, I created illustrations both traditional and digital for many of the Weekly Reader educational magazines, including READ, Science!, and their online Prodigy magazine, back when the internet was powered by steam, and we measured our digital illustrations and animations in bytes. bytes!

In early 2000, I led a team of 3D animators to create molecular animations explaining Mechanisms of Action for many pharmaceutical clients, as well as animations for the PBS documentary "The Cure" a Boston Science Communications production about a genetic abnormality that may lead to a cure for heart disease.

As Lead Animator at XVIVO, I established the look and feel for their award-winning molecular cellular animations, including the Inner Life of the Cell, its follow-up Mitochondria:Powering the Cell, and The Zirus Antivirotics animation featured in Robert Krulwich's NPR story, "Flu Attack! How a Virus Invades Your Body".

I am currently Principal & Director of Medical Animation at my own company, Art of the Cell: Medical & Scientific 3D Animation.

From science animation videos used to explain cell biology to students, to scientific method animations used to explain the research of pioneers in the field of bio-science, my biomedical animations have been used educate and inspire audiences on all levels.

At Art of the Cell, we present complex medical and scientific information in moving images that balance scientific accuracy with accessible storytelling and a strong focus on visual appeal.
