I'm a retired hydrogeologist with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. I live in the Richmond suburbs.

My wife and I enjoy cruising very much - three or four cruises a year.

I enjoy riding trolleys, subways and light rail. I enjoy architecture-based walking tours (residential and skyscrapers). This is obvious by the posting of streetcars, San Francisco houses and South Beach hotels.

My favorite tree is the palm tree. You'll see many in my pictures.

I'm a HUGE cat person. I never knew I liked cats so much until I got my first one at 54 years old.

The defining event of my youth was my trip to the New York World's Fair in 1964. I have several albums concerning the Fair.
